Counsellor and Grief & Loss Specialist

Simon Batty

Hello. My name is Simon and I am based in Peterborough. Thank you for taking the time to read my profile.

I work with individuals and couples in all types of relationships.

I would like to offer to support you, and offer face to face; video or telephone counselling sessions, depending on your preference.

If you've got this far, you've taken the first step, which may have been difficult. The next may be too, but I would like to invite you to contact me, to discuss how I can help.

t: 07526 270076

I can help you with:

  • Understanding and coming to terms with your grief process

  • Coping with all types of bereavement and loss

  • Ill health - yours or other important people

  • Relationship problems

  • Mental health struggles - including anxiety, depression, etc.

  • Low self-esteem or confidence

  • Managing stress

  • Work issues - change, redundancy, bullying, etc.

I am an experienced counsellor and have been fortunate enough to have worked with many diverse clients. My own grief and how I learned to live with it, was hugely influential in my decision to train as a counsellor, to be able to offer others support in the way that I had been provided after the immense pain and anger I experienced with my Bereavement.

I volunteered for Cruse Bereavement Care for many years, after receiving excellent support from them myself.

I often find grief and loss are in the room in sessions with clients, even when they are not the issues they brought to counselling.

I offer a confidential; private; safe space where you can say what you like; how you like; without fear of judgement or upsetting someone else. I will work with you, to understand what life is like for you, through your lens, or how you are experiencing your grief.

I will help you to make sense of your experience and work out what you want to do and how you want to do it, to be the best version of yourself you can be, and to develop an understanding of your grief and how to live with it.

I would like to help you understand your own unique experience of all you want to bring to counselling, and to help you celebrate the things that make you the unique person you are, and the things that you can draw your strength and resilience from.

I am an Accredited Member of the BACP (British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists) with full Professional Insurance.

My qualifications and training include:

  • Level 2 Awareness in Bereavement Care

  • Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling
