Grief Nutritionist & Ayurvedic Health Practitioner

Sabine Horner

Hi, I'm Sabine. In my practice, I focus on the often overlooked gut-grief connection, and how simple natural tools can help us regain stability after loss.

Blending nutrition science with ancient healing wisdom, I help with the full-body impact of grief —because by supporting the body, we support the mind and emotions too.

I believe the body whispers before it roars. That's why I’m passionate about addressing physical grief symptoms and everyday challenges around cooking and eating early on.

I offer a free 30-minute chat to discuss how we might work together.

  • Emotional and mental effects made worse by physical imbalances: emotional eating & cravings, anger, anxiety, low mood, brain fog, lethargy

  • The real-life challenges: the everyday struggle of cooking for one, meal prepping when you have zero energy or motivation, and what 'eating well' actually means when your digestion is compromised

  • Navigating additional challenges while grieving: holidays, seasonal changes, travel, menopause, postpartum

My Approach and Story

After my husband died, I spent years trying to understand why grief affected my body so profoundly - not just emotionally, but physically. I studied grief through both the Western and Ayurvedic lens to make sense of the wide range of ‘grief’ symptoms we can experience, and found that nutrient deficiencies are a common culprit.

Ayurveda gave me crucial insights, particularly through its understanding of postpartum care. Postpartum and grief are both profound transition periods where the body is highly vulnerable - and where the right support can be transformative. This explained why warm meals at regular times, steady daily rhythms, calming breathwork and gentle routines are not indulgences, but important foundations for recovery.

When we support the body, we support the mind. Stabilising blood sugar can reduce anxiety. Restoring gut health can improve mood. Nourishing the body increases our emotional resilience and capacity to cope.

My work goes beyond food alone. I also use breathwork, essential oils, marma therapy, sound, and gentle movement to support the nervous system and emotional processing - especially when talking feels difficult or overwhelming.

I don’t use diets or rigid plans. Instead, I help you identify where small, realistic habit shifts in your daily life will make the biggest difference to your overall wellbeing.

When you're grieving, caring for your body isn't optional - it's what makes everything else possible. I'm here to support you - one meal, one breath, one gentle habit shift at a time.
