Marina Simonova Blazko

I support people who are navigating ambiguous and disenfranchised loss which is a form of grief that is often invisible, complex, and deeply isolating.

I can help you with:

  • Ambiguous loss

  • Immigration-related loss

  • The loss of home, identity, and a sense of belonging

  • Family estrangement

My work focuses on:

  • Ambiguous loss

  • Immigration-related grief

  • Loss of home, identity, and belonging

  • Family estrangement

My approach is shaped not only by training, but by lived experience.

I lost my mother at the age of 5, and years later, while living abroad, I experienced the loss of my father under complex and unresolved circumstances. This gave me firsthand understanding of grief that doesn’t have clear closure, a grief that carries guilt, distance, and unanswered questions.

For a long time, I held this alone.

Only later did I begin to name and understand what I had been carrying and to find a way to live with it that felt honest and humane.

Today, I support others who are facing similar experiences.

People who:

  • feel alone in their grief

  • are dealing with complicated or unresolved loss

  • are searching for a way forward that doesn’t deny their reality

As an expat and immigrant, I also understand the quieter layers of loss. The loss of home, identity, and belonging.

You don’t have to go through this alone.

My qualifications include:

  • Grief Life Coach

  • Trauma-Informed Coach
